Good Shepherd School
is fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational
Association and Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
In 2003, Good Shepherd School received the highest possible accreditation of six years and is accredited
through June, 2009.

Educational
Philosophy - The Good Shepherd School community, in
partnership with parents as the primary educators of their
children, believes in facilitating a comprehensive Catholic
environment that reinforces Christian ethics and values, builds
strong academic skills, and maximizes personal growth in each
student.
Educational Goals:
Religion-Spiritual Education
To present Christian values and Catholic doctrine, as well as provide opportunities to enhance each child’s relationship with
God.
Academic – Intellectual Education
To stimulate personal responsibility, a creative attitude and an intellectual curiosity toward learning.
Social Education
To develop a sense of citizenship, social responsibility and cultural awareness in our children.
Psychological Education
To provide a healthy atmosphere for our students which helps them to develop a positive attitude toward themselves and others.
Physical Education
To encourage students to recognize the importance of physical fitness, good grooming, personal hygiene and proper nutrition.
Fine Arts Education
To guide and educate students in a realization of, and appreciation for, the natural beauty of God’s creation and its expression in the arts.
