Background
For more than thirty-five years, Good Shepherd School has been providing quality K-8 private education for students in Northern San Mateo County .  Conveniently located on the beautiful Pacifica coast, Good Shepherd School is easily accessible via Interstate 280 and Highway 1.  The values of Christian living are implicit in everything taught, and students learn respect for themselves and others.  Good Shepherd School is fully accredited by the Western Catholic Educational Association and Western Association of Schools and Colleges through June 30, 2009.

Position Descriptions

  • All Teachers are responsible for:
    • Continued development of the curriculum
    • Preparing and submitting formal lesson plans
    • Differentiating teaching to best meet the needs of all students in the classroom
    • Communicating regularly and effectively with the parents of their students
    • Supervising students during recess and morning drop-off / afternoon pick-up

Qualifications
The ideal candidates will possess a California Teaching Credential and/or a Master’s Degree in Education or in a related field, and will have experience with technology and differentiated teaching methods in the classroom.  Candidates must possess strong writing and speaking skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
